Collections, Smarter AI, and 50+ Game Templates

    TL;DR:

    • Collections: organize concept art hierarchically, then generate visually consistent game assets
    • Choose your AI model: inline model selector with 5 models across subscription tiers
    • Image uploads in chat: attach reference images directly to AI conversations
    • 50+ game templates: the AI now scaffolds entire games from platformers to board games
    • Dozens of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements

Collections: A New Way to Create Game Art

This is the biggest feature we've shipped since launch, and it changes how you think about creating game assets.

The problem with AI art generation has always been consistency. You generate a character, then a background, then a prop, and they all look like they belong in different games. Collections solve this by letting you build a visual reference library that guides every generation.

    How It Works

    1. Create a collection and add concept art

Start with a top-level collection like "Dark Fantasy RPG" and fill it with reference images. Upload your own art, generate concept images with AI, or pull from your existing asset library. These images define the visual language of your game.

    2. Organize with sub-collections

Break your game into logical groups:

    • Dark Fantasy RPGCharacters → Knight, Goblin, Wizard
    • Dark Fantasy RPGEnvironments → Forest, Dungeon, Village

Each sub-collection can have its own concept art that adds to the parent's visual context. You can nest up to 3 levels deep.

    3. Generate visually consistent assets

When you generate a character, background, or prop from within a collection, the AI sees your concept art as reference. It matches color palettes, art style, proportions, and mood, so everything looks like it belongs together.

The generation workspace shows your reference images alongside the prompt, so you choose exactly which concept art to guide each generation.

    Why This Matters

Collections turn AI art generation from "generate and hope" into a proper creative workflow. Start broad with concept art, refine your visual direction, then produce game-ready assets that actually look like they belong in the same game.

    Choose Your AI Model

You can now pick which AI model powers your code generation, right from the chat input.

A new model selector dropdown appears in every chat view. Click it to see available models with quality indicators and per-message credit costs. Your subscription tier determines which models you can access:

    ModelCostTier
    GLM-4.71 creditFree
    MiniMax M2.51 creditStarter
    Kimi K2.52 creditsCreator
    GLM-54 creditsHobbyist
    Claude Sonnet 4.610 creditsPro

Each tier unlocks new models while keeping access to everything below it. Models from higher tiers appear locked with an upgrade prompt, so you always know what's available at the next level.

    Image Uploads in Chat

Paid subscribers can now attach images directly to chat messages. Drag and drop, paste from clipboard, or use the attachment button. Up to 4 images per message.

This is useful for sharing mockups, reference art, error screenshots, or UI designs with the AI. Images are automatically compressed for fast delivery. Free users see the attachment button with a prompt to upgrade.

    50+ Game Templates

The AI just got dramatically better at building games.

Behind the scenes, we've built a library of over 50 production-quality game templates, complete, working code modules that the AI can inject into your project automatically. You don't need to browse or select templates. Just describe what you want to build, and the AI pulls in the right foundation.

From platformers to board games, visual novels to deck-builders, each template includes dependency resolution. If you ask for a platformer, the AI automatically includes the physics engine, camera system, and controller it needs. Templates are battle-tested starting points, not boilerplate. The AI builds on top of them to match your specific game vision.

We're adding new templates and patterns every week, so the AI keeps getting smarter about the types of games it can help you build.

    New AI Models

    We've expanded the model lineup:

    • MiniMax M2.5: Balanced and versatile, a great all-rounder. Available to Starter tier and above
    • GLM-5: Premium quality model available to Hobbyist tier and above
    • Kimi K2.5 by Moonshot AI: Strong reasoning capabilities with native image understanding. Available to Creator tier and above
    • Claude Sonnet 4.6 on AWS Bedrock: Our most capable model, now with prompt caching for faster responses and extended thinking for complex problems. Pro tier exclusive

    Bug Fixes & Improvements

    Fixes:

    • Fixed tool call spinners getting stuck when connection drops. Three-layer recovery now catches silent failures, truncated responses, and stale states
    • Fixed animation hitbox alignment not matching sprite scale in the editor
    • Fixed infinite loop at the end of AI execution mode
    • Fixed collection navigation losing the active tab when viewing asset details
    • Fixed art pool allocations for paid tiers (Creator: 3,000, Hobbyist: 6,000, Pro: 13,000)

    Quality of life:

    • Chat messages redesigned. Tool calls collapse into summary rows, active calls show real-time progress, and reasoning steps are grouped into readable bursts
    • Credit terminology standardized across the entire app: "Monthly Art Budget" for replenishing credits, "Universal Credits" for purchased credits, "Weekly Chat Budget" for AI chat
    • Prop background removal is now a toggle instead of automatic. Keep the background when you want it
    • Guide tooltips added throughout Code Studio and Art Studio for contextual help
    • Concept art generation costs just 5 credits per image within collections

    What's Next

We're continuing to push on art quality, AI capabilities, and the tools that make building games faster. Your feedback shapes what we build — keep it coming.
